Some guests have noted the perceived limitations in menu variety, especially during peak times. Others have mentioned they desired slightly more vegetarian options that cater to diverse diets. A few patrons have experienced minor delays during busier hours, although the staff's attentiveness often mitigates this issue. Reservations are a must during peak dining times, especially Sundays, with many noting that spontaneous visits might lead to long wait times or limited seating, which can be frustrating for those without prior planning. However, these minor complaints often fade against the backdrop of an otherwise stellar experience.
Fantastic venue in an idyllic location over looking lake. Food was very good , some might say a limited menu but everything cooked fresh and couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Highly recommended. We ate in one of the pods which are perfect for a group of 10.
I’ve had my eye on this place for awhile. We had an unexpected guest and it looked like there was no way I could get a last minute reservation! Thankfully I was able to send an email the day before and they squeezed us in! We took a lovely walk around the lake (45min-ish) and it led us right to the restaurant. Our meals were all incredible. We got different versions of the Sunday roast. I got the veg one and found the eggplant/tomato mix a little sweet for a roast, but everything else was absolutely fabulous! The veg gravy came on the side, and I probably could have used a little bit more of it. It started to rain as we were finishing up. The staff was super on top of it and willing to move us inside, but we just quickly finished and left so others could have the inside tables. I look forward to our next trip there! I’ll plan better a book at least 3 weeks out!
We recently went to The Reverie for a birthday Sunday lunch. We hired the pavilion and had the most wonderful family event. The food was delicious, the roasts were huge, very high quality and well presented. What topped it off was the amazing service we received from the friendly and attentive staff (Charlotte & Rosie), who couldn’t do enough for us and looked after us so well. Well done The Reverie..keep up the good work!
Great dirty fries! Sorry. Looked so good, forgot to take a pic! Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Came to the rescue last minute and was able to fit us in for my husbands special birthday. The staff responded to my email really quickly and were so friendly. We had the most amazing lunch in the most beautiful of settings. It really was so lovely and on a nice sunny day. Felt like we were somewhere else and really relaxed. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely meal, we really enjoyed it and couldn’t fault a thing. Can’t wait to come back. Perfect setting to then go for a lovely walk too. If you haven’t been you need to go!
Beautiful place to have a great food after nice walk. View is just outstanding😍 Serving ladies providing best possible service. Only small 'but' is not hammock to have a nap there;) It was great time for me and guy who was with me. Big thank you all
Really lovely restaurant, in a picturesque location. The food was amazing 10/10.The manager was very communicative and confirmed everything regarding the reservation ahead of the day. Service was rather busy for Sunday afternoon, and our party was rather large, but the waiting staff were nevertheless attentive to their capacity, and the chef accommodating of changes from our pre-order.
